Terms of Use

Read this first: every result is an automated estimate inferred from public signals. It is an opinion generated by software, not a statement of fact about a website, a company, or the people who built it. Treat it as a starting point for your own judgement — never as proof.
What this tool actually does
It inspects publicly available information about a website — the page HTML, the stylesheets and scripts it loads, HTTP response headers, public DNS records, and public domain registration data — and looks for patterns commonly left behind by AI app-building tools. It then reports a confidence score with the reasoning behind it.
It cannot read source code, repositories, or commit history, and it cannot determine whether a developer used an AI coding assistant while writing code by hand. A site can be flagged and not be AI-generated, and a site can be AI-generated and not flagged.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that results are correct, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that detection will catch or correctly classify any particular site.
Don't rely on results for consequential decisions
You agree not to treat a result as a factual finding, and not to use it as the sole basis for any decision that affects another person or business — including hiring, firing, procurement, investment, lending, academic assessment, publication, or any other adverse action. If a result matters to you, verify it independently.
If you publish or share a result, please present it as an automated estimate from this tool and include the reasoning shown, rather than as an established fact.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or reputation, arising from your use of — or inability to use — this service, or from any reliance on its results. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use the service (which is zero) or USD 50. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- ✕Use the service to harass, defame, or disparage any person or business.
- ✕Use it to probe, attack, or test the security of sites you don't own or have permission to test.
- ✕Submit URLs you are not permitted to submit, or scan private, internal, or authenticated endpoints.
- ✕Automate scans at a volume that burdens this service or any third-party site.
- ✕Present results as anything other than the automated estimates they are.
We rate-limit requests and may block traffic that abuses the service. The MCP endpoint is subject to these same terms.
If a result about your site is wrong
Tell us and we'll look at it — the feedback control on every result exists exactly for this, and corrections directly improve the detector. You can also ask us to stop scanning your domain entirely: add a Disallow rule for IsThatVibeCodedBot in your robots.txt, and we will honour it. We aim to action removal requests promptly.
Third-party names
Lovable, v0, Bolt.new, Cursor, Replit, Windsurf, Base44, Claude, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to describe and identify what we detect. This service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
